The List.

So I posted something silly on my FB page about it being National Compliment day. (Yes, of course I threw in the, " Honey better start making that list!)

Hubby is a smartass. And I truly love that about him. SO, he makes his little remark, and the joke is on me. (surprise!)

But then, Hubby comes home from work, and casually puts this on the counter:

Its a list, of all the reasons Hubby loves me. It is so sweet, and so thoughtful. and... so from a man. LOL. My top 3 favorite things he loves about me are as follows:

"You are good at fishing" - Yes, I try to be "good" at it, but I think it is more luck than anything. Plus I wont bait my own hook, or take the fish off by myself. Basically, all I want to do is cast out, and reel 'er in! ;)

"You always smell pretty" - Pretty as in, Honey, you need to take 5 minutes and shower, because all I smell is dry shampoo and body lotion trying to cover your dirtyness!

and probably my favorite:

"You do well at cleaning our house" - He is so sweet. There are so so so many days when he walks through the door, and there are toys all over the living room, lunch all over the kitchen floor, the sink is piled high with dishes, and toys continue to round the corner down the hall, unfolded laundry on the couches (yes, usually both) and dinner still frozen!

With all the sweet things Hubby said, I figured I would let you all know a few of the reasons I love him!

1) He works his tail off to make sure I can stay home with the babes.

2) He is so insanely supportive of any and everything I do. (He once beaded with me, when I was on a deadline crunch!)

3) He knows that look on my face that means, "Please make the children be quiet for 5 minutes so I can go pee in peace" (and He always takes charge)

4) He pushes me, emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually to be a better person.

5) He makes a mean beer can chicken!

6) There is this one spot, right beneath his chin, to the right side, on his shoulder, where my head fits perfectly. It feels like Heaven.

There are a million other reasons, but you get the jist of it all. I have a great Hubs. 



Real Life... {Pintrest} (Super Late Christmas Edition!

Ok, so we go everywhere on Christmas. We start Christmas eve, and go to my Grandma's and then to Hubby's Grandmas. Move to Christmas morning. We open presents and do our thing with the boys first thing in the morning. THEN, we go to my mama's house for breakfast. (which is where I made my first Pintrest Breakfast!) After breakfast, we usually go to my  MIL's for dinner, but this year, we just went and hung out, then did our presents and dinner the day after. Its a lot of Christmas, followed 7 days later by Monster's birthday. (Great "planning" right? )

This year, I got a little more involved with breakfast making, and decided to make something I had seen on pintrest! This is my take on the delicious Cheese and Egg Wreath!

First, take a can of fridgerator crescent rolls, and lay them out into a starish shape!

Next, add a strip of already cooked bacon onto each crescent roll. Then you add eggs, and cheese around the center and roll the ends up, like this:

Now, just pop it in the oven, and wait for it to get golden brown!

Tah Dah!!! Its a little messy but oh so scrumptious!

The only thing I would change about the reciepe is, instead of laying out bacon strips, I would crumble the bacon and add it to the egg and cheese mixture.

 

And FINALLY, I am back in the game, and have gotten my Christmas Pintrest meal put up!!!

MIA?

Yes, I have come to the realization that I have been absolutely missing in action (or lack of action) for the last.. um month.

What have I even been doing? To be honest, I dont know! I've been sick, the Hubby has been sick, the babies have been sick.

I have been sitting at my sewing machine, trying to create pretty things!

I have been having a blog makeover, that is almost complete!

I have been cooking a lot more.

I have been trying to clean up and clean out my craft space.

Couponing.

Working on a bedroom redo for Brax... and trying to come up with the perfect mix of Cars and Toy Story.

Having baby fever real REAL bad. (so I have been looking at puppys!)

And, doing lots of loving, on all 3 of my boys!

but... Not blogging. You know, I have an awesome pintrest meal from Christmas morning. I am making a promise, to have it up by the end of the week. I have tons of pictures. (They'll get put up too!)

I. Miss. My. Blog.

So, here is my 2012 goal (yup, waaaay late) : I am going to blog 3x a week. I am going to learn to prewrite some posts, so that I dont have to stress all the time. I am going to be more proactive, and more involved. It is time for me to make this time for me, and stick with it, and not feel guilty for it.

So here I go! :) More posts to come, more often. And I feel great about it!
